Maternal and fetal outcomes in diabetes mellitus in hospitalized women at a tertiary care institute in South India

Background: Objectives of current study were to find out the proportion types diabetes and know factors for adverse maternal fetal outcome in pre-gestational gestational at a tertiary care Institute compare outcomes between GDM.Methods: Prospective descriptive conducted department obstetrics gynaecology, center over period 1 year. The inclusion criteria were: (pregnant women with type & 2 mellitus) mellitus. Exclusion steroid induced diabetes, tuberculosis, heart disease, autoimmune disorder, chronic renal failure. Statistical analysis: Maternal outcomes, presence complications expressed as proportions comparison groups is done using Chi-square test.Results: Majority (81.5%) GDM 18.5% diabetics (type I DM-5% Type II-13.5% total). Past history was present 29% 31% II DM. Sixty percent 40% PGDM primigravidae. Significantly greater number obese than GDM. Blood sugars uncontrolled 20% more so PGDM. Pregnancy loss when compared (17.5% vs. 9.1%). Statistically significantly suffered from hypertension preterm labour.Conclusions: Obesity, blood sugars, development pre-term labour are significant resulting these common
